PAS is thrilled to announce the expansion of the Concert Chamber Percussion Ensemble Competition at PASIC 2024.
Indianapolis, Ind. - Increasing student access to competition and learning opportunities is an important goal for the Percussive Arts Society and PASIC. That’s why we are thrilled to announce that CCPEC will be expanded this year to offer nearly twice as many performance spots, plus we’re adding a new Saturday showcase concert where the winners will perform. CCPEC has long been a part of PASIC, but this expansion gives many more ensembles access to the kind of performance opportunities and professional feedback that come from competing at PASIC.
CCPEC at PASIC 2024 will feature:
- 30 total spots for college and university ensembles to compete on Thursday, November 14
- 20 total spots for high school ensembles to compete on Friday, November 15
- An opportunity for review and critique from high-level adjudicators
- NEW Saturday showcase concert where winners will perform
Benefits for CCPEC participants:
- Discounted badges to PASIC 2024, which takes place November 13-16 in Indianapolis
- The opportunity to perform at the world’s premier percussion event
- Invaluable feedback from top-tier judges
- A chance to connect and interact with other percussionists from around the world
- An incredible learning experience
Registration opens May 1, 2024. Groups will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, so get ready!
We hope this early notice gives your group plenty of time to get prepared for participation in this unique, interactive musical experience and to fundraise for travel and PASIC badge fees.
We’re excited about the expansion of CCPEC opportunities it gives to young percussionists. If you have any questions about CCPEC and this year’s changes, please email membership@pas.org.
