Read the newest update regarding PASIC™ 2021.
To our PAS Members and the entire Drum and Percussion Community,
On behalf of everyone at the Percussive Arts Society, we want to thank you for your ongoing support, and we sincerely hope you and your family, friends, and colleagues are staying safe and healthy throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
After many conversations and recent consultations, the PAS Board of Directors unanimously voted to make PASIC 2021 a COVID-19 vaccination required event. We believe that given all the data about the new variants, and current trends in the arts and culture sector, this is the right decision for the continued safety of our staff, artists, members, students, volunteers, industry partners, and general attendees.
We understand that some of you might have questions regarding specifics around this update in our policy, and we will do our best to answer them as quickly as we can. For the overwhelming majority of our current PASIC 2021 registrants, who have indicated that they are, or intend to be, vaccinated prior to PASIC 2021, this will not be a major inconvenience. We will be in touch shortly with everyone who is currently registered for PASIC 2021 on specific protocols, as well as logistics on how PAS will verify vaccination statuses.
Every year we eagerly await the middle of November, when we come together and learn from one another, are inspired by one another, see old friends, and make new ones. We look forward to seeing you November 10-13, 2021 to celebrate being together as a drum and percussion community for the 60th Anniversary of the Percussive Arts Society!
